To Worldwide search, the post regarding Sarah Thorne that married Abraham Manuel...

She died of consumption Dec 12, 1896, and her death record stated she was b. in Lance Cove -- so, about 1863.

While her parents are not documented, I believe she would be the child of William Thorne 1834-1932 and his wife Agnes Driscoll 1837-?, as he seems to be the only Thorne having children in the area during the period. William was born in Lower Island Cove, Conception Bay and was the documented son of John Thorne 1804-1875 and his wife Ann Willer (Wheeler?) 1812-1892. This John Thornes origins are not known.

It is not believed that the Lower Island Cove Thornes are genetically connected to the Trinity Bay Thornes, but perhaps one day we will find evidence that they were.

Cheers.
