In the last few years have you come across any information on the descendants of James, son of John Norman and Anne Roberts?
In particular, I am researching James' son Nathan and his wife Annie Churchill of Cupid's, NFLD.

I just found this page when searching for my family history, I am also a descendant of John Norman, born in Poole in 1732, and came to Brigus around 1770. I descended from his son John Jr. as far as I know. I am attempting to connect myself to this man, and also find out more about my family history back in England. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am descended from James Norman (died 1841) who married Mary Munden. Their daughter Joanna married ( in Harbour Grace, 1821) a Samuel Wilmot (from Beaminster, Dorset). Samuel and Joanna had a daughter Elizabeth who married Abram Bartlett. They were the parents of Captain Robert A Bartlett. My grandmother was Captain Bob's sister.

So am thinking that James' father was the John (1732) referred to in the first post.
