Hi,
I see from your message posting that you have some ancestry by the name of Foley from St. Johns. I believe my ggrandmother Ellen neeFoley Maddicks Roberts once lived in St. Johns, perhaps, 1879-1902. So far I have been unable to find any but the sparest of info in St. Johns, but have extensive family story when she lived in Tilting. My grandfather Clarence Roberts was born in 1880. She apparently married John Roberts about that time. I have her as a witness to a baptism with Clarence at the Cathedral in 1900 so they were there. Do you have any data in this area?
Best Regards Leo

I know this post is very, very old, but my great grandmother was Catherine Keefe (also spelled Katherine in places). She was born around Cat's Cove/Conception Harbour. She married William Kennedy in 1860.

She had a sister named Agnes who was older than her, I believe. Agnes went to live with Catherine's daughter in NYC, and lived there for years. Sound familiar?
