I believe that you and my husband, Paul are 2nd cousins. I know he would be glad to share photos etc. that are in his possesion. He does not have a whole lot. We would be interested in what ever you know. Chris Costello was a son of William and was my husband's uncle.

Paul has made two trips to the Boston area and can share what he knows with you.

It weems that you and my husband, Paul are second cousins. Chris was not Willam's brother but his son and my husband's uncle. We would be happy to correspond and exchange information with you.

The Chris Costello that I knew was born in Pouch Cove 1883.
He was William Henry's brother. I was able to trace the maternal side (Raines/Ryan) back to John Spears (1801) married in 1826 to Ellen Share (1805) and John Raines (1790) married in 1826 to Jane. I have been unable to find anything on the Castella side.

Hello Henry,

This is Paul Costello, William Henry's grandson. I am still trying to find some information about my great-grandfather Henry Castella, born Oct 1849 in Oporto, Portugal. I am about ready to hire a Portuguese genealogist to do some research to find what they can about him. They can be very expensive...Before I do so, do you have any information about him, his father, etc.
If so, please e-mail me at: paulcostello@astound.net

Thank you very much.

Warmest regards,

Paul Costellop

More follow-up on Henry Alexander Castella:

Hi Jean,

After several years I am still unable to find any info on my great-grandfather Henry Alexander Castella, other than he was born in Oporto, Portugal in Oct/1849 and died in Pouch Cove, NL in 1934. I have several people still working on it. I have even contacted a professional genealogist who I may end up hiring to check Oporto church records. Anyway, just to let you know that if I do turn up something, I will, of course, share it with you.

Paul Costello (grandfather William Henry changed name)

Please use my E-Mail address to correspond: paulcostello@astound.net

Hi Jean,
I am researching the Mugford family, and your Florence Castella married Walter William Mugford on May 15, 1912. I have a some Mugford information to share, including birth records of Walter & Florence's children. Are you from the Mugford line or the Magnuson line?

Sorry for any confusion. My message just above was meant for Jean O'Brien regarding her grandmother, Florence Castella Mugford Magnuson.
