Re: thomas hollett /anne long
Hello there. What a nice suprise to receive a message on the Hollett's .It's been a while. Merthyr Tydfil and Aberfan is not so far from where we live in South Wales. The family came from Devon originally, moved to Newfoundland and some returned to Devon before moving to Swansea in Wales. I would be interested to have some history of your ancestors to see if they link up with ours .I would also be very willing to let you have what info I have . nice to hear from you , regards , Buddug Hollett

Re: thomas hollett /anne long
Hi nice to hear from you . After ploughing through my husbands paper work on the Hollett's I'm afraid that there isn't a Samuel in his line (sorry ) that we know of However I did come across a Samuel born aprox.1876 in Exminster Devon England to an Eli and Sarah Hollett.I don't know if your ancestors came from England or not . This Samuel is listed as having 5 siblings in 1881 .If you want the names I will let you have them .In the meantime I will see if I can find some more Samuel's born around that time for you .take care ,Buddug in Wales .u.k

Re: thomas hollett /anne long
Hi Anne Costello, this is Henry Castella. I saw your message re your husband's grandfather William Henry. My greatgrandfather had 12 children. One of which was William Henry, born Nov. 1877 in St. John's/Pouch Cove Newfoundland. My grandfather Reuben Castella also of Pouch Cove, Newfoundland is a brother of William Henry. I am also aware that William Henry changed his name from Castello to Costello pretending to be Irish in order to get a job in Boston with the Transit Authority. My great grandmother's name was Ellen Raines (from Wales) and married my great grandfather Henry Alexander Castella.

Re: thomas hollett /anne long
Hi Anne. I am writing to you because of the message sent to you by Henry Castella. It seems we are all connected. My grandmother, Florence Castella Mugford Magnuson, was the sister of William and Reuben, etc. I knew her brother Chris Costello when growing up in Malden, Ma. It's possible that I may have met her brothers when I was a child. For the past couple of years I have been trying to trace the family history. If you or Henry could provide any information I would be grateful.

Re: thomas hollett /anne long
I believe that you and my husband, Paul are 2nd cousins. I know he would be glad to share photos etc. that in his possesion. He does not have a whole lot. We would be interested in what ever you know. Chris Costello was a son of William and was my husband's uncle.
Paul has made two trips to the Boston area and can share what he knows with you.
Anne
