Hi Micmak1
Sorry it took so long to get back to you here is a link maybe this will help
http://www.myheritage.com/
You might have to join the site then wit to be match with him or search the site for Lloyd Miller's tree..You'll have to build a family tree to get a match that is waht i did and did a search on that site but i can't veiw anything cause you have to pay to view it and unfortunately i can't afford to do it...i think it's cheaper then ancestry.Anyways let me know if it works i'll try something else.

Pam

Thanks Canadawolf! I got into the site and I bought it for a year so now I have another tool to find people. What you got off the site was exactly what Lloyd Miller had that was private....but...I was able to get a contact site for him in the myheritage. I wrote a request for any info on MARY LENA BEATON including where he got the name...I also asked if there was any indications from his sources for Native DNA. I will let you know when I receive a reply! keep fingers crossed...MICMAK1

Hello, I hope you don't mind the intrusion but I am looking for Lloyd Miller of the Miller Family Tree on MyHeritage... I refuse to sign up with them again, but I would like to contact Lloyd as we seem to have many Newfoundland matches in our tree (none with your that I can see unfortunately). Do you happen to have an email for Lloyd?

Many thanks,

Miles.

hi guys! don't ask me how...but for some reason two or three posts seem to be on a capitalized pauls of wigwam point....I wrote extensively on sept 9 but now it appears to be on the new site PAULS OF WIGWAM POINT...DARN!...so just go to notre dame bay and read the sept 9 posts on the BEATONS of BURNGATE...it will not help with the native but it is what I got done on that. Thanks MICMAK1

CANADA WOLF...I just got some info from ENGLAND..specifically on JAMES GILL.,,It is the court docs on case against him by JANE COLE concerning her son who was fathered by JAMES GILL. These papers were filed on Jan 12,1821 charging him with the abandonment of a bastard child and they were looking for him. Apparently QUEEN ELIZABETH I had put the law into place a few hundred years before that a man could be charged for the care of a child born out of wedlock...they were supposed to be married a few months before the wedding but he ran off while the BANNS were still in place at the church.
It is not much be slowly the pieces are coming together and a portrait of JAMES is being painted!
I totally believe that he arrived with his brothers in NOTRE DAME BAY on the first boat out of town...AND THAT IS WHY THERE IS no INFO ABOUT THIS FAMILY TO BE FOUND.

we are planning to go to NL in DEC to see the family and I will be at the rooms for a couple of days before heading west to NDB and STEPHENVILLE. I will try to find out anything I can while in NDB about the various people that everyone is looking for.

So hang in all as I hope to find SOMETHING? from maybe a relative. MICMAK1

Hi bstewart89

My name is Max Jacobs and my grandfather was Darius Jacobs, son of John Jacobs and Susan Jacobs (Powell), Your Grandmother Dorcas and her sister Lena were siblings of my grandfather, Darius. I remember "Aunt" Lean (actually Great Aunt) when she lived in Badger. I remember my father talking about "Aunt" Dorcas but I don't recall ever seeing her. The one I remember very well was "Aunt" Agnes who visited Westport many times when I was a boy.

Thank you for this Max. I also remember Great Aunt Lean and Great Aunt Agnes. With my dad, I would visit Great Aunt Lean when she was living in Botwood and being cared for by her daughter Mabel Brett. Of course I did not know my grandmother, Dorcas, because she died when my dad was very young. After her death, my dad was cared for by a relative until my grandfather remarried. I would like to know if this was a relative of my grandmother or that of my grandfather. Do you have any information on our great grandmother Susan Powell. Where were the Powell's from? Any info you have on any of the Powell and Jacob families would be much appreciated.
