My gr-gr-grandmother was Aurelia (also possibly listed as Onlia, Amelia) PYNN born 1829, died 1888 Deep Water Cove, Bonne Bay, she married Timothy REID 1829 - 1906. According to Rev Joseph James CURLING from his notes circa 1886 her brothers lived at Quirpon. I am trying to confirm that she is a brother to Frederick PYNN who is the son of Joseph Henry PYNN and Catherine TUCKER. Any Quirpon PYNN info would be appreciated.

Guys and Pynns of Quirpon
My great, great grandfather was John Guy born in Quirpon he was married to Catherine Pynn (daugher of Frederick) also of Quirpon. I believe most of their children were born there as well. They later moved to Pilley's Island. I would love to hear from anyone connected with this family. Thanks.

Re: Guys and Pynns of Quirpon
Hi Tammy, I am a descendant of the Pynn and Hedderson family. Catherine's sister, Josephine was my gggrandmother, she married James Eddison. *note name change Eddison to Hedderson. I am currently trying to delve further into the past of gggrandfather, James Eddison. Thus far I have been unsuccessful. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rennie Hedderson

Re: Guys and Pynns of Quirpon
I too am related to the Pynns of Quirpon. I grew up there, till i was 17. I am the grandson of Chesley Pynn and Elizabeth Pynn. I am not sure of any family further back than that although I believe I may have found my great grandparents but I still have to confirm, I will update.

my records show that Aurelia (Onlia) was the daughter of Joseph Henry and Catherine Tucker. I show 11 children from this family. I have been trying to make a connection with this Pynn family and the Pynn's of Harbour Grace. Joseph Henry was the son of Charles Pynn b 1764 in England and Hannah(Ann) Some of the children of Charles and Hannah were baptized in Harbour Grace. They were also witnesses at the marriages of the family which I descend from. My ggggg grandfather was Joseph Pynn b. abt 1730 married to Patience Butt. My question -what was the relationship between Joseph and Charles?

Re: Guys and Pynns of Quirpon
Hi Tammy,
Nice to see your still at it and in different forums.
Next month we will be adding another little Guy to our branch of the family tree.
I'll let you know how it turns out.

I have recently begun researching the Pynn family in NF. My maternal grandmother was Susannah Pynn b.1883 to Jordan/Gordon and Olivia Buckler. I would be very interested in recording the Pynn surname information you have if you wouldn't mind sharing. My research is for personal use only. Thank you, Bob Goodier
