I am searching for a George Garland of Renews who married Sarah Cox abt 1801. George was a merchant of Renews. George predeceased Sarah. Sarah died Jan 6 1847 at age of 65. I am interested in finding the father of George Garland.
Sarah would possibly be born around 1782. Witnesses at their wedding were John Bell, George Winter. Thank you very much. Judy

Hi Stella: I am so sorry if you asked me before and I did not answer. Please forgive me. I have many people in my tree with the same names over and over, they kept the same names. I have a Lillian Garland b 1876. I have May Garland, who went to USA maybe late 1800s early 1900s. However,
with the name Snelgrove. I would say your Garlands you are looking for are from Lower Island Cove. In doing the Garland Tree we had to clarify three different families of Garlands.
I am Conception Bay. There were Trinity Bay, and Lower Island Cove Garlands. Snelgrove is either from St. John's or Lower Island Cove. There is an enormous Garland tree on the Canadian web site. It belongs to Prof. Wm. Garland He has everyone one it. All three sets of Garlands. I shall give you the email address to his web site. Hope you make it. If not let me know. garlandw@mcmaster.ca Thats his email. He will be more than glad to help.
The url is long and tricky, I dont want to get out of this to retrieve it in case I lose this. OK>

Hi again Judy.. I think you got my email mixed with someone else ... I have no Snelgrove in my list.. The Garland I am looking for would be from the Carbonear area.Lilly and May ... .I think the Lilly born 1876 is the one I am looking for .. I am trying to trace who my Gr Granfmother was . I should say who her parents where. Lilly and may where witness to her wedding. Do you have a marriage for either Lilly or May.
Thank you again Stella

Stella: If you asked me that before I am sorry, short memory.
There are alot of people in my tree with identical given names., which makes things harder. Was this a wedding in Fortune Bay? May Garland daughter of Chas. D. Garland probably born St. John's, Chas was my grandfathers brother.
She married Sam Churchill. Went to USA. Thats all I know about her. I have a post in to see if I can find her offspring.
Lillian Garland - Grandfathers sister. no children. married Capt George Dean. Lillian born 1876 from Carbonear. My grandfathers name: Selby Garland. Carbonear b. 1883. Judy

So pls contact direct. These people are way back, so I only picked some of them up from a relative I have in Nfld, I have never met her, she is 87., with a great memory. Whose wedding did they witness? Judy

Hello, Sheila,
I am researching the Penney 'tree' for a friend. I am looking for info about your gr. grandmother, Susie Penny (Susannah Penney) who married John Rose Kelloway, Conception Bay, Newfoundland; daughter of Hugh Robert Penney and Elizabeth Marks. I share this Ancestry.ca subscription with Jan Mackie. Therefore any info you may have should be forwarded to my e-mail address: pklister@nbnet.nb.ca
Thank you for any help you may be able to give me.
