Noah Spracklin Mosdell b 1869 in Bay Roberts, s of William Mosdell and Isabel?(perhaps Spracklin?), and Katharine Dawe b 1874 in Bay Roberts d of Samuel Dawe and Mary Ann Dawe, (both might have been of St. John's). Noah and Katharine moved to BC about 1901/02. Thank You.

If I am correct, this family of Dawes is well researched. They were originally from Devon and settled in Port de Grave. Eventually that area became crowded and some members of the Dawe clan moved to Bay Roberts. Although I am not directly related to this branch of the Dawes, I have a file on Samuel, Mary Ann and their ancestors. Please feel free to contact me.

I think it's likely that your William Mosdell is the same one who had children Patience Charlotte b. Apr. 30, 1855 in Bay Roberts and Susanna b. Feb. 15, 1860 also in Bay Roberts. This William Mosdell was born bet. Dec. 1823 and Jan 1824 in Green Bay, NL (he was baptized Jun. 24, 1826 aged 2 years & 6 months). His parents were William Mosdell and Patience Spracklin who was the daughter of Simon Spracklin and his wife Grace.
