Re: John Gardiner from Conception Bay, NL
Hi Maureen,
Sorry but I wasn't able to find out Robert's first wife's name. Stanley was raised by his Uncle Hayward Whelan so she may have been a Whelan and there are Whelan's in Flower's Cove. Stanley, I believe, has a grandson living in Flower's Cove - Michael (Jock's son). Stanley's daughter Mildred married a Crocker in Trout River and I believe has a son Blaine. She ran a B & B there. She has a story published in the book "This Is Our Place, This is Our Home" and mentions her grandmother passing when her dad, Stanley, was 9 mths old.
Let me know if I can help you in any other way.

Matthew
I had a look at the Certificate of Death for John Gardiner in the Nova Scotia website and here is what I read... Certificate of Registration of Death on the Nova Scotia website states John Gardiner was born Aug. 21, 1888 and died December 24, 1920. Age at death 32 yrs 4 mos and 2 days. Informant was his brother-in-law Henry Spracklin. He died of Tuberculosis of the lungs. Parents are John Gardiner and Dinah Morgan. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have been collecting various records of people from the Port de Grave, NL., area as my ancestors come from there also.

Sorry, I was away for a while. Any idea who Diana Morgan's family/parents are? I was on that ngb.chebucto.org/ website, but I couldn't find much.
