I have a Caroline Pike in my family. She had a brother Ambrose Pike who was the sexton of the methodist church in Hr. Grace, if it's the same one Ambrose was my great grandfather, he married Mary Jane Butt from Freshwater. Caroline Pike was married twice, she was Caroline Hamilton and had a daughter Belle. In time they moved to the Springdale area of Nfld., their father worked in the new mill there. Reach me at my own email address. I would ceertainly have to oppen up some old boxes, but she is there, she had a sister Mary, and many others....J

I think we are talking about 2 different Caroline Pikes, as there were so many Pikes its has always been impossible to track them down.

My g grandfather's sister Caroline Pike Married Alexander Grant who drowned then she married William Hamilton. They had William Jr. and Belle Hamilton. They are the children of Charles Pike, and Susan Parsons. These people were methodist. I am very sure we have two different Pikes. Go to David Pike's web site, he works at Munn University. He has all there are to have.....J

A Jane Pike (1894-1933) married George James Tetford (1887-1966) in Harbour Grace in George James was the nephew of my great-grand aunt Jessie White Tetford (1858-1920).
Willing to share any and all information.

I believe that George James Tetford was the son of Jessie White Tetford and the nephew to my great-grandfather William F. White!

Sorry about that,

Hi
After years of searching I am still unable to determine the parents of the Caroline Pike that married Michael Murphy in Harbour Grace in 1820.
Some years ago I sent an email re the Caroline Pike who had a brother Ambrose. As there are very few Caroline Pikes. I wondered if you might send me any info you have re Ambrose and his parents and siblings.
Bears Cove is the area where some other Murphy relatives lived and Caroline and Carrie were names that continued in the Murphy family. I believe my Caroline was Methodist and was told by my Aunt that she was born in Harbour Grace.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks Leonard
