Re: Snow's Conception Bay-Harbour Grace Area
Hi Joan, I was so happy to see information here about the Snow family. My grandmother is a half sister to Florence Snow, born March 1, 1887 parents were William and Alice Bray Snow. I have been trying to find out what happened to Florence, it seems no one in the family even knew of her at all...funny it seems a lot of the old stories passed down aren't always very accurate! My grandmother Ethel Lockyer Moran, died in 1974 and I would love to know if Florence stayed in NFLD or came to America...Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I would love to hear from anyone who is a Lockyer or Bray from Bay de Verde or Harbour Grace area...Nancy Moran Tracy Museumnancy@rcn.com

Re: Snow's Conception Bay-Harbour Grace Area
Hi I see you have alot of Snow's, is any of them from Coley's Point and/or Clarkes Beach. As I have 2 greatgrandmother's with the maiden name Snow. The one from Clarkes Beach is Sarah (Snow) Pottle, The other was born in Coley's Point but live in Country Path(now known as Country Road) her name is Jane (Snow) Mercer.

Re: Snow's Conception Bay-Harbour Grace Area
Hi, I am also looking for information on the Snow families of Bay Roberts. I am in partular looking for an Elizabeth Snow born probably mid to late 1840's and married a Thomas Perin (Perrin) about 1870. From 1870 to at least 1884 they lived on Country Path but by 1904 they had relocated to St John's. While in Bay Roberts they had the following children.. Thomas Perrin May 17, 1872 - <1884 Jane Moriah Perin 1876 - Apr 10, 1950 William George Perin Jul 17, 1876 - Oct 1881 Clara Daw Perin Jul 24, 1878 Thomas Perin Feb 1884
It is quite possible that Elizabeth Snow had a sister named Frances Snow who married Esau Mercer on Nov 12, 1873 at Bay Roberts. Frances' residence was listed as Northern River but I am not sure where that is. Elizabeth was recorded as a witness at the wedding.
Regards Ed Barbour
