Your Query attracted my attention concerning the LANE family from Englee. My gg Granfather was also a "John LANE", father of my g grandfather, Edward LANE who married Keziah GILLARD. GG Grandfather John LANE also had a brother named "Joseph LANE" and I was told that gg grandfather John and Joseph's father was also "Joseph LANE" all originating from the Bonavista Bay area. My Dad's mother was "Matilda nee LANE {Fillier} daughter of Edward LANE and grand-daughter of John LANE. We could be cousins!! Any assistance will be grately appreciated, concerning gg grandfather John LANE's wife's name.
