Surnames: Cox and Jeddore
My g.g.grandfather was a Cox, (Frederick ?) from Engalnd who jumped ship in the Bay d'Espoir area, possibly around early 1850s and married a Micmac Indian girl (Charlotte Jeddore ?, my g.g.grandmother). They had at least five children; (1) Jane Cox b. 1855, m. Frederick T. Hodder on Nov. 16, 1877, d. June 01, 1891 - (2) Andrew Cox b. July 1858, m. Jane Hodder - (3) Charlotte Cox (my g.grandmother) b. May 24,1863, m. William Robert Hodder in 1880, d. Jan. 1940 - (4) Eliza Cox b. Dec. 19, 1866, m. John Samuel Wiscombe - (5) Elizabeth Cox m. William T. Vincent. The family moved to the Creston area of Mortier Bay possibly in the early 1870s where the children met and married their respective spouses. I have been unable to find any info relating to either g.g.grandparent in the Bay d'Espoir area but can trace their children after they moved to the Mortier Bay area. If anyone has information on this couple's or their children's history I would appreciate any help you can give.

I believe we may be related-my grandfather was Samuel Wiscombe married to Eva Beech-was told a story as a young girl by my grandfather that his g.grandfather? jumped ship somewhere around Newfoundland-there also was a picture of an indian woman in white indian dress/beads that hung in their living room and he told me that was my grandmas great or great great grandmother(i never knew what indian tribe she was from)This is so interesting and ANY info would be appreciated.
