Frederick and Cristianna Dennison Estabrook - Penniac Baptist [Cemetery] #176

Frederick and Cristianna Dennison Estabrook - Penniac Baptist [Cemetery] #176

Classification: Query
Surnames: Estabrook, Estabrooks, Brown, Dennison
Frances Ann Estabrook(s) (1853 - 1924) married George Fred (or Fred George) Brown (1843-1926). Both are buried at Marysville United Baptist Church Cemetery and listed in Find A Grave.
I wanted to request Find a Grave links to her parents, Frederick Estabrooks (d. 1907) and Cristianna Dennison Estabrooks (d. 1910) (obtained from death certificate) and listed in New Brunswick Provincial Archives burials at Penniac Baptist #176. I do not find that cemetery in Find a Grave. Does it have another name--or location?

I am not sure how this will work as the links I get are non-specific.
Try:
http://archives.gnb.ca/Search/Cemeteries/Cemeteries.aspx?cul...
At the head of the search page is a drop box called 'Cemeteries', or you may already get that page. Choose York Co. Then scroll down the cemeteries to Penniac Baptist 176. Then choose Estabrooks. This will give you:

ESTABROOKS, ANNIE 1861 - 1928
ESTABROOKS, CHRISTIANNA -- - 1910
ESTABROOKS, FREDERICK -- - 1907
ESTABROOKS, JAMES M 1860 - 1937
ESTABROOKS, JOHN T 1887 - 1920
ESTABROOKS, LORNE T -- - 1895
ESTABROOKS, MARY A 1843 - 1919
ESTABROOKS, MINNIE -- - 1886
ESTABROOKS, PRUILLA -- - 1872

The transcriptions at the PANB site are generally more abstracts. One would prefer something more precise.

Frances Ann may have been born before 1853. See:

where 'Charity Ann' is actually 'Christy Ana'.

Thank you for the quick reply. As you note, they are found at Penniac Baptist #176. But I cannot locate that cemetery in Find a Grave, and do not wish to add it unless the need and location can be verified.

There is a Penniac United Baptist Cemetery mentioned in a few obits, but, again, not in Find a Grave. Perhaps it is a section of Penniac United Church Cemetery?

Since the parents are documented, it would be helpful to have them in the Find a Grave database.

There are two separate cemeteries. The Baptist cemetery is on Hwy 628, locally called the Manzer Road. The church is not used now. The United Church cemetery is located on the Penniac Road.

I attend the Penniac United Church and walk past the Baptist church fairly regular. If you wish I will try to look for that grave marker.

Hi Gail,

Thank you very much for the information and offer to take a look. I have added the memorials to Penniac Baptist Church Graveyard.

The names should be
ESTABROOKS, CHRISTIANNA -- - 1910
ESTABROOKS, FREDERICK -- - 1907

I added a few Dennisons to the Find a Grave database (Christianna's maiden name).

A.

I will have a look this week, it is not a huge graveyard so should be easily found. But I will have to pick the right day to get a good photo.
