From the Charlotte County marriage register:

William Gilman of ? married Margaret Gilman of Saint Patrick 3 August 1815, wit: Malcom McFarlane, R McFarlane.

John Gilman of St Andrews married Mary Simpson of Saint Patrick 9 Jan 1817, wit: P Daniel, Benjamin ?

Mary Mercy Simpson (b 1792) was the widow of William Simpson. She was the daughhter of Paul Cook and Rebecca Winslow, who I believe were from Deer Island. William Simpson died from a tree falling on him on his grant of land in Saint Patrick. John Gilman married the widow and took over the grant.

I don't know any more about him, if it is the same John Gilman.
