O'Blenis/Milne Families of Westmorland County
Hi Everyone!
First, thanks to Tony for taking on the Westmorland County GenWeb site.
I am researching the Milne families of Shediac and Moncton, New Brunswick. Names include Thomas Milne (arrived circa 1805 and lived at Milne's Point, NB), William Milne (circa 1810) and his wife Margaret and sons James and William, James William and his family (James was a cousin to Thomas and James and William) arrived in Shediac/Moncton circa 1871 from New Carlisle, PQ, to be closer to his living relatives. James William and his wife had a multitude of children, including George a driver for the ICR Railway at the turn of the century.
I am also researching O'Blenis from the Scott Road area of Westmorland County. My great-great-grandfather George had approximately 22 children, including my great-grandfather James Hartley O'Blenis.
I would love to hear from anyone researching these names!

Hi John, I have a John P. O'Blenis married to Laura Estabrooks who moved to the US from Canada, New Brunswick to be exact. They had a son Chandler who came to visit his cousin Alva Mitton, my husband's father. Are you related to us? Lets talk. You can access my email on this site and contact me directly. Re: O'Blenis/Milne Families of Westmorland County
- I've just started on our oblenis family line and charles as my husbands grandfather- he is the son of george Oblenis- who is the son of Henry oblenis- who is the son of john Oblenis- a very interesting line- George was married twice- Charles was from his first wife charlotte lewis- his second wife being mary jane melvin There is a Travis connection to John Oblenis, born 1737 and married to Martha Travis. I'd be interested to here from the Travis line.

Re: O'Blenis/Milne Families of Westmorland County
My great grandfather, Hartley James, was a son of George and Mary Jane. I have information on most of the O'Blenis' that reside on the Scott Road. I am still doing research myself on this, but sadly due to lack of time because of my job I haven't been able to accomplish much lately. I have also due to problems lost all my files from the computer. I have not had the opportunity to re-enter them. As soon as I have them back on here I would be happy to send what I have to you. I would also appreciate having any information that you have. Maybe we can help each other to "fill in the blanks" so to speak. Feel free to contact me by email. Hope to hear from you soon.
