CARPENTER, PEGGY 1923-2006 -The family of the late Lenora
Margaret (Peggy) Carpenter of Riverview wish to announce her passing
at The Moncton Hospital on May 1, 2006. Peggy was predeceased by
her husband, James (Jimmy) Theodore, as well as her brother Ken
Baker. She is survived by her daughters, Heather (Terry) Terris of New
Maryland and Jean (Henrik) Carpenter Tonning of Rothesay. She will
be sorely missed by her five grandchildren, Peter, Sara (Danny), James
(Amy), Kare and Henrik and by special great-grandson, Eric. Peggy is
also survived by her sister, Jean (Aubrey) Squires, brother, Charles
(Betty) Baker and sister-in-law, Margaret. Following a private family
service, the family invites friends and neighbours to attend a reception
to honour the lives of both Peggy and Jimmy at 11:00 am on Saturday
May 6 in the Garden View Reception Room of Fair Haven Funeral
Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Heart &
Stroke Foundation of NB or The Friends of The Moncton Hospital
Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral
Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, 852-3530.

SQUIRES, Jean Evelyn
SQUIRES, Jean Evelyn - 81, Halifax. The family wishes to announce her passing in St. Vincent's Nursing Home on July 28, 2008. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late James and Evelyn (Coombes) Baker. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey; her brother, Kenneth; and her sister, Margaret (Mrs. James Carpenter). She is survived by her brother, Charles, Wasaga Beach, Ont.; her son, Philip, Toronto; and her daughter, Barbara (Michael) Turney, Halifax. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Kathryn and Christopher Turney, and Lia and Jonathan Squires; many nieces and nephews. Jean will be remembered as a tireless fundraiser for the United Church Women until her health failed and for how tremendously proud she was of the accomplishments of her two children and four grandchildren. Arrangements are entrusted to Cruikshank's Halifax Funeral Home, where a service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, with Rev. L. Yates officiating. Interment in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's memory to the Parkinson Society Canada, Maritime Region, or to St. Vincent's Nursing Home. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. D. D'Arcy and to the staff of St. Vincent's Nursing Home for their loving and thoughtful care over the last few years.
