I have these notes saved for Lucinda:
Lucinda Jane Cole was born 1845. Lucinda died 1920 at 75 years of age. She married twice. She married John Cook, Captain. She married William Edward Buck Captain April 4th 1866. William was born 1840. William was the son of James Buck and Sarah Mitton. William died Dec 1887 at 47 years of age: he was lost at sea. 1919 - Dorchester, N.B. Mrs. Lucinda J. Cook - Nov. 5 - Death claimed one of our best known and most highly respected residents, Mrs. Lucinda J. Cook here at the Shiretown last evening at 8.45 o'clock. Mrs. Cook had been in failing health for a little more than a year, the immediate cause of death being acute indigestion accompanied with heart failure.
Deceased had reached the age of seventy-four and was twice married. Her first husband was Capt. Wm. E. Buck who was lost at sea more than thirty years ago. She is survived by two daughters from this marriage, Mrs. C. E. Lawrence, o f Medford, Mass., and Mrs. Nelson P. Ward of Dorchester. Her second husband was Capt. John Cook who pre-decease d her i n 1909. There were no children by the second marriage.
There are also three surviving sisters, Mrs. R. E. Chamber, of Winthrop, Mass.; Mrs. John Mildoon, of Framingham, Mass.; and Mrs. Emma Cole of Dorchester but at present visiting in Framingham, Mass. Mrs. Cook was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Dorchester Cape.
