I am researching Elizabeth Taylor. She married William Rogers,1 Oct.1833 in Hopewell Parish. She was b.Nov.1816 in Donegall,Ireland. Does anyone know who her parents were and where she went after her husband died in 1860. I found an Elizabeth Rogers in the 1901 census for Frontenac,Ont. She is living with James Rogers, who I believe is one of her sons. Also,in the previous household is a David Rogers, whom I believe is another one of her sons. Could anyone tell me if this is the right Elizabeth? William and Elizabeth were my ggg-grandparents. Also, does anyone know where the rest of the siblings went?
Sue

Hello Sue.

I have Elizabeth Taylor as the daughter of ??? & Margaret Taylor [Margaret was living with her daughter and son-in-law William Rogers in the 1851 census in Moncton parish, b. abt 1774.] William was born abt 1811 in N.B., died in 1868, buried in Birch Hill Cemetery in Berry Mills; Elizabeth b. abt 1815 in Ireland, d. 1904, also buried in Birch Hill Cemetery.

From what I've found, William Rogers & Elizabeth Taylor had 7 children:

1) David, 1835 - 1891, married Sarah J. Maddison
2) Rachael, b. abt 1836
3) Isaiah, b. abt 1839
4) William, b. abt 1843, d. 1864, buried Birch Hill Cemetery
5) James, b. abt 1845, married Mary Olive Gay
6) Ellen, b. abt 1847
7) George William, b. 10 Oct 1847, d. 3 June 1935, buried in Birch Hill Cemetery; married Elizabeth Maddison, sister to Sarah J., above [Elizabeth and Sarah J. were daughters of Robert M. Maddison & Margaret Trites; another daughter of theirs, Annie, was my gg grandmother]

I have more descendants for David, James and George if you are interested. If you have any info to fill in blanks or correct errors that I have, I'd be happy to receive it. Good luck with your research.

Not sure if you still check your messages. I am a gg granddaughter of George and Elizabeth. My great grandmother is Rebecca (Rogers) Wilson, who married Samuel Wilson and later George Wilson. My Grand father is their son Percy Wilson, my mother's father. I would love to see more info on the family if you have it. I know this post is from a long time ago but I figured it was worth trying.
Thank you,
Cheryl
