Seems we have the same ancestry. My great grandfather was Eloi Blanchette.

I wish I had information to give you about our common ancesters, but I'm still very new to genealogy. I have a few names with even fewer dates and events. Nice to meet someone with the same family history tho :)

I was named after my grandfather.on his second marriage. Wich i do not like. He used to beat my dad with a fan belt. Anyway our family tree all starts with pierre blanchet way back in the 1640's. all info should be online.

Albert would be my first half cousin from eloi's first marriage. And yes Eloi had a son named Claude (which is my father) from 2nd marriage. . I beleive you would be my 2nd half cousin. We got family scattered all over NB. North East Maine. And the Beauce Quebec. ( FYI. I do not know alot of ppl. From our family but i researched it a few years back. ). After a person gets to a certain age i beleive they wanna know where they came from. Would you beleive were italians who moved to Picadie France in the 1400. Used to be called Blanchetti. And and in 1648, pierre Blanchet was the first settler. (Beauce Quebec). And did ya know we have a family crest. Our family tree is bigger than u would think. Hope this info helps you in some way. Btw. My dad knows your dad : )

My grandfather was Thomas Blanchette, lived in Glen Levit, NB, as well as his brother Normand.

His father was Eloi Blanchette from St. Basile, Madawaska County.
