In the Fall 2015 Generations edition Thomas Miles 1st of 2 diary entries has a hand drawn map of the Maugerville area about 1815 +/-, with what were likely important markings to him.
The one that caught my interest was "Irish Farm workers lived in here in small cabins", which appears to be on his property (attached).
Where these "his" only workers, or was this a program for the area at that time?
The fact that he kept a diary, was a Member of the Legislative Assembly, Justice of Peace, Colonel in the Militia, and local farmer, his records may have been very detailed.
His diary has entries which connect to my Irish Ward who arrived in Oromocto abt 1818, with mention of my ggg grandfather/mother James Webber, and Sarah Kimball.
I am thinking he would have been one of these Irish Farm workers and I was curious if there are any records of such a program?
