Charlene,

I have Howes in my line and wonder what county you're talking about? One set of Howes is from Queens and the other from Sunbury. I do not have the other surnames in your query in my line yet.

I dont have many facts on my Howe's but have been told that William came to Canada, believe Toronto in early 1900's,just prior to W.W.1 (1919).I have a family photo with a few names on the back & also a photo of James(believe that is his son) in navel uniform. William came to Canada from England where one sister Elizabeth(my grandmother ) stayed .A brother Erwin & sister Charlotte moved to Scotland. There could have been another brother James who may or may not have come to Canada.Any help would be much appreciated. Rita

Hi, just to help clarify - the two Howe familys listed are both from Northern Ireland. The first from Kings county, the second from Queens. There is another Howe family in Sudbury that I believe are Loyalist, and Howe's from Munster IRE in Miramichi and Saint John.

Hi, Rita,
Once I discovered the Howe of Sudbury were not related I didn't keep any track of them. I do recall coming across someone in Sunbury have a list of that Howe tree.
There is a Howe brook in south end that extends into Queens Co. - a Howe settled there. A Howe family in Barton Parish and lots more see: rootsweb.com/~nbsunbur/
A good source is the Book: The Atlantic Canadians 1600-1900
at the library.
William Howe 1876 Sunbury NB Probate record
William Howe farmer 1851 Burton Parish NB23-43
1865 -68 Hutchinson Dir.:
William Howe farmer Victoria Settlement and John and Stephen in Geary and a Jacob in Oromocto.
Try Richard Howe's (not me) Maine connection at
NB Gen Web - his Howe tree is from Sunbury.

As for Toronto try: Toronto Public Library Digital collect. online
