Thanks a lot for the info Susan. I had a lot of it due to the fact that my family has never really totally left the area, but the Rider stuff and the kids middle names are really great to have. The thing I'm most trying to find is David Phillips father's name so I can trace him in Ireland. I suppose i'll have to get his death certificate to find that out eh?
Thanks again and if you need any Nova Scotia stuff let me know I'd be glad to go over to the Archives to look for you.

I think I might have found David Phillips' daddy. I have a book "Early New Brunswick Probate Records" by R.Wallace Hale and on page 359 is the following:

Thomas Phillips, Senior
of the township of Lincoln, Sunbury Co., NB Millwright.
Will dated September 28, 1809, proved Oct. 18, 1809
Wife Phebe one-third estate for life. Thomas Phillips jr. to receive a double portion at her death, the rest to be equally divided with the Heirs. Jesse Phillips 50 pounds. Son John Phillips 60 pounds. Zopher Phillips, DAVID PHILLIPS, Thomas Phillips, Matthew Phillips and all my daughters the remainder of my estate to be equally divided. David Phillips and Thomas Phillips executors.
Witnesses: Clapman Smith, Levi Parsons, Samuel Nason.

I noticed Thomas Phillips' name on the Muster Roll of the Queens Co. militia with David Phillips' name.
