Suspect they are all related in some way. / originally posted Feb 1999

Re: LANGAN: Thomas & Joanna Strange
Cori and Joan, This is also my line. My line comes from Samuel Langin also. Samuel married Rebecca Lamb and Margaret Ferguson. Of the marriage to Rebecca came Adolphus among others. Adolphus married Anna Ramsey and one of the kids was Asa who was my Dad's grandfather. Cori, you and I (and my aunt Sonja) have already been in touch. But I wanted to post this for anyone else looking for our branch of Langin's. Also, I have two old email addresses with postings out there and wanted to show mine as updated.

Re: LANGAN: Thomas & Joanna Strange
The "Adolphus" mentioned above has been corrected to James John Langin about a year and a half ago. The name was mixed up with another Adolphus in the family.

Re: LANGAN: Thomas & Joanna Strange
Hello... I am looking for an Eliza A Langin/Langdin/Langden who married a James Adolphus Clare in 1826. Roots in Sheffield/Burton area, but died in Kent Co. leaving a large family, the youngest of whom ended up with a Burpee family back in Sheffield. Her name was Adeline Alma Clare, and she married George W. Briggs. One of their daughters was named Bessie Burpee Briggs. Do you know who her parents were?
