North End Dentist Has Passed Away
Dr. Francis F. W. Askey Ainsworth Succumbs After Several Weeks' Illness
Francis F.W. Askey Ainsworth, D.D.S., after an illness of several weeks, died on Sunday of lobar pneumonia. Dr. Ainsworth had received his dental degree in England before coming to Saint John 35 years ago and he had had a brilliant career as dentist. For several years he had charge of the dental office of the late Dr. J.D. Maher, Main Street and for a considerable number of years had conducted his own dental office at 342 Main Street.
Dr. Ainsworth some time ago was granted a patent from the Dominion Commission of patents for the artificial dentures porcelain filling which he had invented and obtained a second patent in 1906 when his new invention was the Ainsworth Patent Lip contour shells.
Dr. Ainsworth had a wide circle of friends. He was born at Aston Lane Perry Bar, Birmingham, England. His father was a well known manufacturer of Birmingham, England.
Dr. Ainsworth is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Agatha Coughlan, daughter of the late T.L. Coughlan of this city; three sons, William of Denver, Colo.; Thomas of this city, Philip at home and two daughters, Miss Florence Ainsworth, student at UNB and Miss Constance, now at home.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday morning from his late residence, 342 Main Street, corner of Douglas Avenue at 9:50 o'clock to St. Peter's Church for high mass of requiem at 10 o'clock.

The funeral on Dr. Francis F.W. Askey Ainsworth was held at 9:50 o'clock this morning from his residence, 342 Main Street to St. Peter's Church for solemn high mass of requiem at 10 o'clock, celebrated by Rev. Thomas Morley, C.SS.R., Rev. Francis Lawless, C.SS.R., was deacon and Rev. Galbraith, C.SS.R., was sub-deacon. Interment was made in St. Joseph's Cemetery with prayers at the grave by Rev. H.G. Ramage. Relatives were pallbearers.

Mrs. Ainsworth Dead
Mrs. Catherine Ainsworth, wife of Dr. Francis A. Ainsworth, of the staff of Dr. J.D. Maher, died this morning after an illness of about two weeks. She was a daughter of the late Thomas O'Grady of this city, and leaves besides her husband, three children as well as two brothers and two sisters. The brothers are Thomas of this city, and William of Colorado, and the sisters are Mrs. Murray of St. John and Mrs. Ryan of Colorado.

DEATHS
Ainsworth - At St. Joseph's Hospital, June 9, 1963 after a brief illness Mrs. Agatha G. Ainsworth, widow of Dr. Francis A. Ainsworth, survived by two sons, two daughters, two brothers, and one sister and seven grandchildren.
Resting at Brenans Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Wednesday to St. Peter's Church with high mass of requiem at 10 am. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Mrs. F. Ainsworth Widely Mourned
The many friends of Mrs. F.A. Ainsworth will be shocked and saddened to learn of her death which occurred in St. Joseph's Hospital in Saint John Sunday after an illness of two weeks.
Mrs. Ainsworth participated in many community activities. Among the organizations to which she belonged are the Ladies Auxiliary of the New Brunswick Museum, of which she was elected president a short time ago. At the time of her death, she was also an executive member of the Local Council of Women. She was a member of the Saint John Art Club and St. Andrews Curling Rink.
Mrs. Ainsworth was a member of St. Peter's Parish and of St. Peter's Council of the Catholic Womens League. Her husband Dr. Francis A. Ainsworth, a prominent Saint John dentist, died several years ago.
Mrs. Ainsworth was the former Agatha Coughlan, a daughter of the late Thomas L. Coughlan and Mary (Roberts) Coughlan.
Surviving are two sons, Philip L. Ainsworth, Saint John and Thoms L. Ainsworth, Fort William, Ontario; two daughters, Mrs. W.F. Irwin (Frances), Saint John and Mrs. Murray V. Harris (Constance), Point Claire, Quebec; two brothers, T. Louis Coughlan, Fredericton and Cyril R. Coughlan, QC, Halifax, Nova Scotia; one sister Mrs. Eileen G. Graves, New York City and seven grandchildren.
The body is resting at Brenans Funeral Home. The funeral will be held from St. Peter's Church with solemn high mass of requiem at 10 am Wednesday. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
