Re: George Harvey, Nash Creek
Hi
Would be nice to get a copy of that letter. Is it possible?
George Levi Hunt was born ca April 12, 1890.
In 1891, he lives with his parents George and Emily Mary in Restigouche county.Hes is 1 yoa. They were 10 kids total.
George Hunt died in 1891.
In 1897, Emily Mary Hunt marries Charles T. Coffin from Gaspé in Campbellton.
Robert Levi Hunt lives with Robert Hunt and his wife Barbara in 1901. He is 10 yoa. No other kids.
In 1901, Charles Coffin and Emily Mary live in Campbellton with one of the Hunt's girl.
In 1912, George L. Harvie, 32, marries M. Elthalena McAllister (James and Eliza McAllister) in New Mills.
In 1920, Emily Mary Coffin, widow, dies in St-John, NB. His son James is there. Breast Cancer.
In 1935, George Levi Harvey,43, widow, (George Hunt and Emly Rundel)marries Margaret Cook (Hugh and Lesina Langiles) in New Mills.
Questions:
1) Who are the parents of Charles T. Coffin? 2) When and where did Charles T. Coffin die? 3) When and where was George Levi Hunt born? I could not find it. 4) When and where did George Levi Harvey/Hunt die?
Enjoy!

Oups!
Correction:
"Robert Levi Hunt lives with Robert Hunt and his wife Barbara in 1901. He is 10 yoa. No other kids."
should read
"Robert Levi Harvie lives with Robert Harvie and his wife Barbara in 1901. He is 10 yoa. No other kids."

Re: George Harvey, Nash Creek
Hi, thanks!
Emily Mary Hunt was declared a widow when she married Coffin in 1897.
In 1891, the Hunt family is as follows: Hunt, George, 42, b. England Emily Mary, 40, same Elizabeth, 22, same Mary Ann, 21, same Thomas John, 16, b. NB Edith Jane??, 14, same ?? Ann, 11, same James Isaac, 9, same William, 6, same Emilia, 6, same Joseph, 5, same Robert Levi, 1, same
In 1901, Coffin family is as follows:
Coffin, Charles, 39, b. QC, step-son???? of John Petigrew where they live. To be studied further. Emily M., 42, b. England, Emigrated in 1884 Hunt, Irena S., 1, b. NB, grand-child
Irena Stella, born Jan 29, 1900 is the d/o Margaret Hunt and Theodore Jardine. They were not married.
In 1901, Harvie family is as follows:
Harvie, Robert, 53?, b. NB Barbara??, 53? same Catherine, 51? same, sister George, 10, same, b. Apr. 12, 1890
On his second marriage, George Levi is identified as adopted son of Robert Harvie and as son of George Hunt. His mother is identified as Emily Mary Rundle.
We can safely conclude that George Levi Harvie was George Levi Hunt, that Emily Mary Hunt, widow, married to Charles Coffin was Emily Mary Rundle/(Reynolds in later papers).
For the moment, I cannot find Charles Coffin birth in Gaspé. Parents died, father in 1870 in ???, and mother in 1886 in Gaspé.
The only indication we have for Charles Coffin age is his marriage, and the different censi.

Re: George Harvey, Nash Creek
Hi,
To continue on the Hunt side:
My research in the NB Archives and 1891, 1901 census gives:
Margaret Ann Hunt (George and Emily M.)b. ca March 31, 1881 in NB.
Without any direct proof, except circumstantials to relate her to her parents:
Margaret Ann has a child named Irene Stalla with Thodore/Theodose Jardine on Jan. 29, 1900. I did not find a marriage for them.
In 1901, Margaret Ann lives in the same hotel as Theodore (L.-F. and Sarah-S.) who was married to Christina Cyr (Isaac and Christina Poirier) on March 18, 1895.
Theodore has two kids with him: Clarence-Joseph(Headley) b, 1896 and Vera-S., b. 1899.
Margart Ann's daugtre is living with her grand-mother and her second husband, Charles Coffin. She is named Hunt.
Margaret Ann has another child, William Ephraim (Sylvain)Chedore, on March 19, 1904. The father is John James Chedore. My research indicates he is from l'Anse-aux-Gascons. I find no marriage for them.
In 1911, I did not find Margaret Ann in the census. However, she seems to be in the Campbellton region. See below.
Margaret Ann has a third child, Mary Viola Mossey/Massey, on July 24, 1911. The father is Joseph L. I find no marriage for them.
I did not find, for the moment, any futher information on Margaret Ann and her 3 kids. Neither on the fathers.
Does anyone have futher infos to help me?

Re: George Harvey, Nash Creek
Hi again,
Some more findings on Margaret Ann Hunt:
It appears Margaret had kids with 3 different men.
1) Irene-Stella Hunt b. on Jan. 29, 1900. Father Theodore Jardine.
2) William-Sylvain Chedore b. March 19, 1904. Father John James Chedore (prob. James-William and Annabella Chedore. Both his parents buried in Campbellton.
3) James L. Chedore b. Sep. 15, 1906. Father John James Chedore.
A) John James Chedore died May 16, 1909 at 28. He was battling consumption for 3 years.
B) Margaret Ann Chedore married Joseph-Louis Massie, a widow, on Oct. 2, 1910. Témoins: William McMetzler, ??? Hudon?? Enregistré en 1911. On ne mentionne pas les parents. Margaret Ann est dite presbytérienne. Ils sont tous les deux veufs.
4) Mary Viola Grace Mossey b. July 24, 1911. She died Nov. 11, 1912.
C) Mary Massie, also mentionned Hunt, died in Balmoral on Sep. 13, 1917, aged 36.
D) Joseph Louis Massie (Stephen (Étienne) and Élizabeth Boudreau) remarried in St-John, NB, to Mary-Ann Thibideau, a widow,(Joseph amd Veronica Myers) on Feb. 11, 1918. Témoins: Patrick Doucette, Elizabeth Thibideau.
To this point:
1) I did not find a marriage act to John James Chedore 2) I did not find more kids with neither Chedore nor Massie. 3) I did not find more infos on the Chedore kids, i.e. marriages or deaths. 4) Still looking for more infos about Charles Coffin who married Emily Mary Hunt, Margaret Ann's mother.
Enjoy!
