Ste. Anne de Restigouche records?
How do I access records at St. Anne de Restigouche. Trying to locate this information, my great grandfather and grandmother were marrried in this church. Need this information to continue researching this uncommon name. There have been different spellings of this nam and it appears that the family settled in Restigouche county. I would appreciate any help or direction I can get. Thanks.

Re: Ste. Anne de Restigouche records?
Hey Rita, I have just looked at this note on the message board. I am still having trouble with the name but over the last couple of years I have found that Edward McTomney married an Isabella (Elizabeth) Henry in the same church. Her father John Henry, was sergeant in the Fourth or'Kings own Infantry in Quebec and he was married on the 13/06/1796 to Sarah Molloy. He was still in The Fourth Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Artillery. Isabella was born 10/10/1813. It must have taken them a long to have children or there are many relatives to find. Looks like I can find everyone else but McTomneys.

Re: Ste. Anne de Restigouche records?
Ste Anne de Restigouche church is found at the Restigouche Indian Reserve on the Gaspe Coast in Quebec side of the Restigouche River, right across from New Brunswick. If you are looking for Restigouche County it is New Brunswick records... hope this helps. Millie
