Looking for any connection to my gr-grandparents James St. Onge and Philomene Guitar/Guitare. They had a farm just outside of Campbellton. They were married on July 30, 1906 in Restigouche county (NB Achives). Here are the children that I know of, some spouses and where I knew them to be during their lives:
Celina Jane m Frank Doiron (my grandparents) Windsor, ON
Evangeline m Gus Duguay Dalhousie, NB
Isadore m Elizabeth Duncan Windsor, ON
James m ? On the farm in NB
Kathleen/Katherine died at a young age
Sarah m Allen Diotte Val D'or, Quebec
Emmanuel
Marie m Lawrence St. Onge Niagara Falls, ON
I know that either James and/or Emmanuel went out to Alberta at some time.
I am having a really hard time with this family line any help would be appreciated greatly.
Kim

Just recieved James St. Onge and Philomene Guitar marriage certificate from the NB. Archives. It states that James St. Onge was born in Nouvell, Quebec and his parents are James McBriarty - Natural Father, John St. Onge -Adopted Father and Mary St. Onge. The marriage record did list a birth mother or mention Mary St. Onge's maiden name. He was 21 years old in 1906 and his residence as far as I know was Maple Grove (Dalhousie), NB. If anybody has a connection or knows anything about this situation please contact.
Philomene Guitar was born in Point Green, NB Her parents were Francis Guitar and Olive (Olivia)Chamberlain. She was born Sept. 12, 1886 and she died Dec. 21, 1948 she was only 43 years old. Again please contact if you are a connection.

Hi....I don't know if you're still looking for relatives on the St. Onge side of the family but I'm loaded with them. Lawrence St. Onge was my husband's uncle and most of the family that's left is still here in Niagara Falls. Henry died about 13 yrs ago, he was my father in law and Lawrence's brother. Patrick (Wallace) is still living here. If you'd like any more information please contact me and maybe we can help each other. I've just started researching the family and it was great to see someone that was connected.

Hi Lori, it's Beckey, the St. Onge's they are looking for are on Mom's side, she was also a St. Onge but not related to Dad's side of the St. Onges. From what I remember mom's father James was adopted by Dad's grandparents, so that's how James became a St. Onge, originally a McBarty or something like that.
