Hi,
I am looking for details concerning my Great Great Grandfather, Conrad Barton, born around 1844 in Waterborough, Queens County.
I also have limited details concerning his wife, Rebecca Murray, born around 1854. They were married on April 10, 1866 by by
Rev W.A. Charlton, at the Parsonage First Range.
Conrad is the son of Andrew Barton b.1810, d.1867 and Margaret Ann Day b.1816, d.1868.
Rebecca is the daughter of John and Lucy Murray.
I see the residence of Conrad and Rebecca listed at Canning Parish, Queens County, in 1871.
I also see a publication in a new paper listing ship builders of Saint John in 1876 that references Conrad Barton (not sure if the same).
I know his oldest son, John Reuben Barton b.1867 d.1939 moved to Maine, working out of Houlton and/or Hodgdon. Somewhere between 1902 and
1907, John Reuben took his family (with the exception of his oldest son, Charles Roy Barton b.1890 d.1955) and relocated to Massachusetts,
working for the Unions. Charles Roy Barton, remained in Hodgdon on a farm to assist the owners of the farm as they could not have children.
I am not sure if Conrad and Rebecca remained in New Brunswick.

thank you,
Gordon M. Barton
