I have been researching the Roberts family recently as some have claimed my James Roberts, husband of Susanna Rachel Thomas was related to Zachariah Roberts, a Loyalist from New York who married Elizabeth Bishop and settled in St. John, NB. I am not convinced of their relationship and found when compiling the various sources the descendants are of Irish, Welsh or English origins and also with different religions, but they are all with listed as Zac and Elizabeth's.

I have done a bit more since posting there but am no closer to an answer other than I still don't think James and Susanna belong on the list.
