Looking for information on Jacob and Barbara Snyder formerly of Perry County

Democrat - Sentinel, Lewistown, Pa.

March 29, 1902. Died. Snyder - In Decatur Twp., Mifflin Co. Pa., 1902, Jacob Snyder, aged 76 years and 6 months.

February 2, 1901. Died. Snyder - In Decatur Twp., Mifflin Co., Pa. January 27, 1901, Mrs. Jacob Snyder aged about 64 years.

William A. Snyder, aged 66 years, 10 months, and 6 days died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John F. Rheam, 141 Chestnut Street, Monday night , 10:55 o’clock.
Sclerosis or hardening of the liver caused his death, after an illness of considerable time. He was confined to his bed during the five weeks just prior to his death. He was critically ill during the eight weeks just before he died. He was at the home of his sister at McClure two weeks land until he recently came to his daughter’s home in Lewistown, where his death occurred.
His wife, whose maiden name was Miss Catherine Ellen Shawver preceded him in death at 28 years of age. Mr. Snyder leaves two daughters. Mrs. John F. Ream, 141 Chestnut Street, Lewistown, and Mrs. Arthur A. (Cora) Rook, 120 N. Brown St. Lewistown. These two sisters also survive the deceased: Mrs. Albert (Laura) Shawver, McClure, and Mrs. Worrell (Margaret) Kemberling, Selinsgrove. Mr. Snyder was a son of Jacob Snyder and Barbara Snyder of Shindle, and former residents of Shindle, Mifflin Co. and Perry Co. The parents are both dead.
Brief funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Rheam, Lewisltown, Friday afternoon, 1:45 o’clock. The principal service will be in Wagner Chapel at at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon. Rev. S. C. Koontz, pastor of Grace Evangelical Church, Lewistown will be the officiating clergyman and the burial will be made in the Wagner Church Cemetery.
