Kennebecasis Island is located in Westfield Parish, Kings Co.,NB just across the county line from Saint John. It is connected to the Kingston Peninsula by a cable ferry from Summerville and in many records the area is referred to as "The Milkish" for the channel that flows between the island and Summerville (and Bayswater).
It has no year round residents now but many old families lived there including the Loyalist KEEFE/KEITH family and the Ralph McCORMICK descendants who still summer there in the original homestead. The 2 graveyards have been documented by Gordon Gamble and I have the non-KEITH one on
http://www.canadianheadstones.com/ (no pixs unfortunately).
I have been approached for help on the island families over the years so decided to ask to have this site created. So I hope people will use it to connect.
Cheers
