Charles Cormier & Helene DeGrace -
So, much like my previous post regarding Pierre Theriault and Salome LeGresley (which seems to have stumped fellow readers) here is another Acadian couple that I am looking for dates ...
Charles Cormier married Helene Degrace 12 May 1866 (Bathurst)
I have found Helene's birth and death but I am unable to locate Charles Cormier ...
Anybody out there have anything on the documentation of Charles birth and death?
Thanks

In the New Brunswick Archives there is a 1914 Death certificate for a Charles Cormier. It list his age as 75 years and place of residence as Petit Rocher. Hope this helps.

Re: Charles Cormier & Helene DeGrace -
HI Thanks so much Can I ask where you got Charles birth year? I know there are a number of trees online that have a year for Charles but, I'd like to make certain as they give a year and not date?. As I have found many trees with the wrong birth or death for various lineage lines I have done through the years. Seems one person posts their tree and everybody copies and none have any real official source material for the dates they post. I'll check out the New Brunswick Archives, there is a chance it is him especially if I can find him on the 1911 Census ... I appreciate your help

Re: Charles Cormier & Helene DeGrace -
I found a tree on ancestry that listed the source for birth year from the 1901 census. Sorry, that all I could find.

Re: Charles Cormier & Helene DeGrace -
Thanks I believe I found him and Helene on the 1911 Census in the Parish of Beresford Charles indicates he was born in July 1844 Helene indicates she was born in December 1843
Trouble is that the info on these Census is often wrong and is unreliable Finding a baptism and burial is far better when and if they are available
thank you again
