Re: Severe Landry m. Angele Chiasson, Grande-Anse, 1841
This is from a cousin, thought you would be interested
this is is my latest find: I know we have been trying to find what we can concerning Angele Chiasson Landry. This would be the wife of Severe Landry and the mother of Sara. I can say it's the best I have ever found in all my searches. Here goes: Jean Chiasson and Marie Brideau were married 24 Jan. 1817 in Tracadie, NB. He was born 29 Jan. 1792 in Bathurst, NB. She was born 5 Oct. 1794 in Caraquet,NB He was the son of Jean Chrysostome Chiasson and Anne Daigle. The children of Jean Chiasson and Marie Brideau are: Marie Sara Chiasson b. 28 Dec. 1817 D. 13 jun. 1818 in Bathurst.NB. Jules Chiasson b. 1819 d. 1824 in Bathurst, NB. Olive Chiasson b. 31 May 1821 in Inkerman, NB d. 31 Jul 1824 in Shippagan, NB. ANGELE CHIASSON b. Mar 1824, in Bathurst, NB. Marie Phoebee Chiasson b. 9 May 1825 in Bathurst, NB. Olive Chiasson b. 8 Jan, 1826, in Shippigan, NB and Sara Chiasson b. 24 Aug 1832 in Shippigan, Nb. I have seen it before so it seems that in many cases when a child died at a young age they would give another child born later the same name as the deceased sibling. In this family there are a couple of Olive's and a couple of Sara's In this family we see a Phoebee Chiasson as a sister to Angele. Our Angele named a daughter Phoebee. In this family we see a couple of Sara's as sisters to Angele, and our Angele named a daughter Sara. (Our's) All these towns mentioned now and earlier e.g. Bathurst, Tracadie, Inkerman, Caraquet and Shippigan even Grande Anse, St Leolin, and New Bandon are located quite close to each other. These folk's didn't travel far, but they did move some in those years.

Sorry to be so late, again didn't see this.
No, I have never found his birth, or baptism record. The 4 I found in Drouin didn't match His father was born in Ontario, his mother in Quebec. I found one family from Black River Settlement, Ontario who went to Trois Rivieres. They had a daughter Virginie Elizabeth. both are family names.

Re: Gilbert Landry m. Angele Duguay, 1831
I believe that the "Sara" listed as the daughter of Isaac Landry and Henriette Theriault is actually Salome landry who married Joseph L Hachey. She is one of my ancestors.

Re: Gilbert Landry m. Angele Duguay, 1831
There were so many Sara's at that time it makes it very difficult to home in on one. But I do believe, as do others, that Sever and Angele Chaisson are my Sara's parents. I also have Hachey cousins. One of them lived on the same street in Orono, Maine as my mother's family, and her aunt's family. I think a few of them left New Bandon at the same time.
