I am researching Mary NOWLAN who came to Massachusetts from New Brunswick. Mary married 3 times - Anthony DONNELL, Andrew DONNELL and ____ WAITE.

She had 3 children with Anthony and two with Andrew. The third marriage seems to have occurred late in life according to census, and I do not believe there were any children from that marriage.

Any information on Mary's father Richard, and who her mother and siblings might be would be most appreciated.

Thank you for any insight you may be able to provide.

Thanks so much for your reply and for the information. Every little bit helps. I suspected that Richard never immgrated to the US as I can not find him in any US census - at least not yet.

I did find a whole bunch (about 40) of NOWLANs immigrating to Canada in the year 1817.

It is interesting to me that your surname is KIMBALL. Mary NOWLAN's daughter Ellen m. James Kimball STEVENS s/o John Dexter STEVENS & Louisa KIMBALL. Louisa is the d/o Jonathan KIMBALL and Jemima WHEELER.

Again thank you for taking the time to look up this info. it is much appreciated.

Regards,

Jonathan Kimball is listed in the "History of the Kimball Family" by Morrison-Sharples in 1897 and re-printed. Jonathan is # 542 and the daughter Louisa born 10 April, 1813 is listed as married to John Stevens on 23 May, 1834..
I descend from Asa Kimball # 312 in the same book.

A Richard Nowlan in my family fits this description;however he was the wife of Anna BEAN and the family came from Ireland, likely County Down. His daughter,Anna Martin Nowlan, married Robert Dean. I believe he could be the Richard Nowlan you're describing.
