Mary Ann b. 12 Jan 1850 (my gg-grandmother)
Robert b. Mar 1852
Jane b. 1854

My family is O'Hearn (also known as Ahearn) from New Brunswick. Family names include Maurice Joseph, born about 1874 in Miramichi. He had 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Joanna. His father was John Archibald, born (we believe) in PEI in about 1847. Any connection?

Hi Doug,
I had the pleasure of finding your family tree today. Your John T Whelan was brother to my great grandmother Catherine Whelan. I'm wondering where you found the record of her marriage to Lawrence Landry? And also where you managed to find record of their maternal grandparents, Ed Hebert and Ann Lobin?
I'm not sure what information I can help you with but feel free to ask. As an aside, I was back to New Brunswick this past summer and made a point of going to the cemetery in New Bandon recording info from gravestones; also did some looking around in Pokemouche and Caraquet. The area was host to the Congres Mondial Acadien this summer so it was a busy spot for genealogists!

Again, if I can be of any help, please ask.

Marie Landry

I think that Ann Lobin is actually a Tobin. I found the record of Ann's death on Ancestry's: "Acadia, Canada, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1670-1946" and it's transcribed as Lobin but if you look at the scanned image it looks more like Tobin. I think Edward Herbert and Ann Tobin may have been married in Chatham, NB (Based on a passage in Ganong's "The History of Caraquet and Pokemouche" that mentions Herbert) and there appears to be a few Tobins in Chatham at that time but I have yet to find Ann's parents. Edward and Ann were my 3rd Great Grandparents. My 2nd Great Grandfather, John Herbert was the brother of your Ann Herbert.
