hi Mike , There was a Scribner family who ran a gas station in Rothesay N.B. (10 miles west of Saint John)in the 1950, 60's.I haven't been down there in 20 years so dont know if theyre still there or not .I think his name was Jim, but not sure. Hope it helps.

Mike,
If you contact me direct in Australia at
leb@iprimus.com.au I can send you some NB Hoyt family genealogy circa 1850-1900. Includes four sisters, their marriage partners and descendants and the parents of the four sisters. They're from the area you mentioned and there may be a connection.
Hope to hear from you,

I know its been awhile but i was hoping this will get to you Robert. Im currently researching my property in Fairvale. Im having a hard time because the house on the property was moved here at some point and changed from 4 pickett lane to 6 pickett lane in 1982. So records are scewed to say the least. What i have found was the original land (originally sectioned off into two lots) was owned by Aaron and Anthony Dobbin from 1914 to roughly 1946. Then owned by Royden until roughly 1955 where it was bought by a Humphery. Does this sound familiar?
