Bertha Calder, born Nov 15, 1862, died June 8, 1953, married July 12, 1880 Theodore Holmes. Bertha was the daughter of James Arthur Calder (1831-1892) & Mary Elizabeth Farris (1829-1896). Mary Elizabeth Farris was first married to Leonard Cummings (1828-drowned 1854). From their union came two children: Henry C Cummings (1852-1925)(married Susan Blackwood) & Wm. Rufus Cummings (1854-1930)(married Ada Jane Holmes, a sister & only sibling to Theodore Holmes).
