Jonathan Paul was a Quaker from Buck's County, Pennsylvania, and was the son of JamesPaul of Warminster, Buck's County, Pennsylvania. Jonathan was one of the 49 original signers of the Quaker agreement to settle in Canada, and was named in the Beaver Harbour muster of 1784. Jonathan Paul became a ship builder at Beaver Harbour, and owned land on the east side of the harbour. His children were: 1) James Paul; 2) Joshua Paul; Jacob Paul; and Eliza Ann (Paul) Maloney. Jonathan Paul died in a fire at his home in Beaver Harbour.
