I am hoping to find a living descendant to Edmond Carroll who would have first married Elizabeth about 1857. They first lived in Hammond, Kings but by 1871 were in Johntown, Carleton. Their family included the following:
Margaret Carroll c1857/1858 likely 1857
John Carroll c1858/1859
Patrick Carroll c1862/1863
Edmond Carroll 1867
Anthony Carroll c1869/1870
Denis Carroll c1872/1873
In 1894 Elizabeth died and in 1895 Edmond married Margaret Doolan.By the time of the 1901 Census their children included:
Charles born c1895
William Patrick born 1897
David
Mary
Daniel born March 17, 1901
I believe, Edmond, son of Edmond and Elizabeth, married Margaret Vickers/Vicker in 1895.
I am almost positive that Edmond is a brother to my ggrandmother. I have a good deal of information on early family in Ireland but have not been able to find siblings for Ann. I am most anxious to connect with a living descendant.

Something for you to think about.Another way of spelling CARROLL back in the day was CARREL.1871 census of New Brunswick, parish of kent(Johnville),carleton county nb,page 90 there was a (Edmond Carrel)age 3.Parents edward and elizabeth. He had 3 brothers;john 12,patrick 8,anthony 1, and 1 sister margaret 14.Figured it might of been something to think about but i hope you have your answers already.

Thank you. That was VERY kind of you to alert me. I do have that information. I found many spellings for my Carroll family in New Brunswick: Carroll, Carrol, Carrel, Carl etc.
I was a bit dizzy at one point, trying out all of the different spellings in census records and in the New Brunswick Archives. It was a chellenge to make a hypothesis and then try to follow up. That would include finding a 2nd marriage for Edmond to Margaret Dolan/Dooling/Doolan etc.
(more fun). So the census entry is definitely for my family. In 1861 Edmond was in Hammond parish, Kings County. In 1881 and 1891 they were in Kent. Thank you again.
