Also I forgot that Lucy Fitzherbert was John Bloodsworths Mother and she was married to Lewis Bloodsworth and it was his father that was of the "Queens Rangers" Were Lucy and Laura sisters? I think some are out of place? So happy I found you, I sent you an Invite :)

Hi Priscilla,

I am also a descendant of George and Laura (Fitzherbert) Smith through John Edmund Smith > George Franklin Smith > Martha Amelia Smith. I have another Smith line that I'm trying to find info on and I think they are linked with George's siblings?

Could share with me any info on George's siblings (John Ebenezer, Peros, and Ashael (if he is a sibling)? I've been searching on and off for 2 years and nothing!

Martha Amelia was married to Stanley Smith > Willard Smith > John Smith who was married to Harriet Kinney. John Smith is where I have a huge roadblock! Probably because there are so many John Smith's in New Brunswick at that time.

If you need any info from me on any of my tree, please just let me know.

Thank you so much!

Toni

Hi, Toni,
I received your message and will check further as soon as I can. I recall the John Smith/Harriet Kinney connection from earlier searches but I never traced them to my line. I have an Ancestry tree (Smith) which has George's siblings and whatever I've done to date on them. The only other John Smith I have in my notes is John1843, a son of Peros Smith and Mary Green. George1815 had a sibling, John, and Charles. I've never managed to flesh them out enough to warrant putting much up on my tree. I suspect that there may have been a brother Isaac as well. I have a lot of things in my Shoebox but am trying to source them before putting them in my tree. I am sure there must be daughters as well but I've not been able to determine any names.

If you have a chance, please contact me offline at 5toths@comcast.net as I would like to share more with you and fear it may be too lengthy to post here.

Col. Jonas FITZHERBERT and his father Vice-Admiral Thomas FITZHERBERT were part of the Cucklington branch which is part of the Somersal Herbert branch which is an offshoot of the Norbury branch.
Mary Anne (Maria) SMYTHE married (in 1775) Thomas FITZHERBERT, head of the Norbury branch at the time.

The Vice-Admiral married Margaret Langford (I thought Langford was her middle name and I don't know her maiden name), Jonas was their 3rd and, I believe, youngest child. He had 3 children that I know of (I don't know his wife's name) Thomas, Alicia and Susan.
If you know more I'd be interested in the information.

Regards
Giles Fitzherbert
