Ann Joney (ca. 1775) was John Briggs mother-in-law in Moncton, Moncton Parish, Westmorland Co., NB in 1861, therefore mother to ‘Rosannah’.
In Hillsborough Parish, Albert Co., NB in 1851, a widow, Rachel Jonah (26) had two children and a mother-in-law, Sophia Jonah (76). This would be Sophia Lutz (Lutes) (b. ca. 1775, d. 1851), therefore not Ann. See:
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~coleharbou...On the same web page is Rosannah, wife of John Briggs, daughter of John James and Sarah (Reynolds) Jonah. Sarah Reynolds, at:
http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&d...for example, is given as b. 1768. So, was Ann a 2nd wife of John James Jonah?
Thomas.
