When using Ancestry worldwide last week I came across a document about immigrants from Scotland to Canada which had their names on along with a number which as 114???
Can anyone help me, does this number help go track their whereabouts in Winnipeg?
I failed to collect the printout of this form but it mentioned 'alien'.

I am also trying to find 3 birth records for the children born whilst they were in Canada without any luck?

Hi, In Canada we do not have Universal index of Vital Events - Birth, Marriage, Death.
Each Province is responsible for the Vital events that occur.
Each Province determines When - the Vital records might become public record.
For Manitoba
Births more than 100 years ago
Marriages more than 80 years ago
Deaths more than 70 years ago
You could request the Registration of Birth for your Mother: from Govt of Manitoba Vital Statistics Registry .

If you wish to obtain a certified copy of the original record for genealogical purposes based on a search you have done, the fee for each record is $12.00.
No refunds or replacement of documents will be given for copies of the records issued based on your search.
If you wish Vital Statistics Agency to perform the search on your behalf, the regular fee of $30.00 will apply.

Thank you so much for the information. No wonder I cannot find the birth records of the three children born in Canada.
It now appears that the family may have been deported back to Scotland. Someone noticed that the passenger list was headed DEPORTS.
