The obits provide the cemetery (St. Clemens in Mapleton) but all you need is the name and death date to get the death notice.

Go to the site: http://vitalstats.gov.mb.ca/

If you pay them $30 per record, they'll do the research; otherwise it's $12 a record if you can fill out the form. Give them up to a month to send you the certificates.

Naturalization information and indexes are at:

http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/naturalization-...

The site describes naturalization and the procedure to obtain the document.

In what specific 1906 and 1911 census reference did you find Anton, Dora, and Mary Mostowy?

OK thanks.

Well, in an incredible coincidence my family lived at 663 Manitoba Ave. The children then would have gone to school for a brief period with with my mother, aunts, and uncles at Strathcona school. I have an aunt, born in that house in 1910, who is still alive today!

Of course, the issue is if the family on Manitoba Ave in 1916 is the same family in Selkirk in 1921. I'll look into that.

Thank you for looking - my quest is to find out for sure who Mary Mostowy born 1914, her mailing address in 1931 was Box 889? West Selkirk, MB, having lived in Winnipeg for a while as well, maybe for work

What was the source where you found her 1931 mailing address?

Is it your understanding that Mary's mother is Eudokia nee Kushnin?

so far I'm just guessing based on information Mary gave in 1931 - it looks like she stated being born in Winnipeg, but the record is not clear at all - at this point I have no idea what Mary did after 1931, I have not found thru MB Vital stats, her birth, a marriage or death so again Eudokia nee Kushnin is a guess based on the 1921 census

As you probably know, there were several Mary Mostowy's in Manitoba. One was born in 1912 but to a different mother than Eudokia.

Have you traced the brothers (michael, william?, john?) ? Through their obits it might mention Mary. The father died in Selkirk in 1949.
