Would like to contact any descendants of William Lamb, farmer, from Aughton,Lancashire England about 1870. He came with six children and settled in the southern part of Manitoba, near Ninette. Hannah Lamb, his daughter married Robert Walter Scott. She was my grandmother. I am trying to locate any of the Lamb history in this area.

Dear Barbara I am an ameteur secondhand book dealer from the English lake district, about 15 miles from Aughton.Recently i purchased several ancient family history documrents written on parchment concerning the lamb family and their land and farm.I havent had time to decipher them yet, they are difficult to read as they are in old English, but they go bach to at least 1650 some possibly to the reign of Elizabeth the first.Aughton is only a small village even now, so it must be the same family. If you do some research and come up with some names ill check the contents ,and see if theres anything you might be interested in

Do you have any other information on William Lamb and descendants? Or before him? My Lamb's also settled in Southern Manitoba, more specifically in the Killarney area, about 30 miles from Ninette. There are a few Lambs buried in the Ninette Cemetery, as well as Margaret, and the Killarney Cemetery.

Hello Pamela, I do have a lot of history from Aughton, Lancashire on Wm Lamb and his seven children. My interest involves Hannah Lamb, my grandmother who married Robt. Scott and had 14 children. Some of this family still lives in Brandon and Souris.Perhaps there is a connection.

Hello Ken, It does not look like the same family. Most of my family is from Vancouver, via Brandon, via Lancashire. Thanks and good hunting.

Hello Stephen, We are having our first gathering of the Lamb family in Manitoba this summer. None of us have ever met. I also do have a Lamb contact in Preston, who may also be very interested in the material you have. I may be travelling to the Lune Valley in October to visit the area. Will keep connected with you. Thank you.

I have a James Johnstone Lamb m Sarah Caroline Crossley 5 Sep 1894 Strathclair, MB. Is James Johnstone Lamb part of your family?

William was researching my family, when I came across your message. would you be able to give me any information on the Lamb family that settled in Southern Manitoba.

The earliest Lamb I have that settled in Manitoba, in my family, is Arthur James Lamb. He was born February 20, 1876 in Orillia Ontario and died October 23, 1969 in possibly Brandon, Manitoba. He married Mary Jane Tompkins (October 28, 1875 in Ontario and died August 07, 1932 in Brandon). I can't remember for sure, but I think they are both buried in Killarney Cemetery. Since I updated family tree maker, I haven't updated as to where everyone is buried or anything. They had Raymond, Louella, John, George, Lloyd, Nellie and Laura. If this sounds familiar, please email me. I don't have access any time to the internet anymore, but I can get to it about once a week usually, so don't think that I don't want to get in contact with you--I do! Hope this helps some!
