Hi Barbara Ann,
I sincerely hope that I replied to your message from so long ago (If I was more organized, I'd know!) and I really hope I did but in case I didn't, here's what I know:......

I have 2 William Lambs, one born in 1919 and one born in 1964, so I don't know if these are the same ppl you're looking for.

I posted about his great grandparents to Sandra Miller, if that helps any. Please email me (and don't worry if it takes me a week or 2 to get back to you, b/c I don't have access to the internet much anymore, but I try) if it sounds like your family or you want more information. Thanks.

Hello,
William came to Souris Manitoba circa 1180, after his wife Ellen died. He had 7 young children. Hannah Lamb was my grandmother on my father's side. I do have quite a lot of old family info on the Lamb family that lived on the Lune River.
I have not being able to do much genealogy for health reasons. If you can give my a bit more detail, I may be able to help. I live in BC Canada. I also conected with Nellie Gardiner Lamb who may also still live in Souris.

A long running thread! I am researching Lamb family of Aughton - and am definitley back to John Lamb b 1701 in Cockerham (bap Pilling and buried in Aughton in 1765 taken from parish records)Possible earlier records too, back to about 1650 but not proven. Would be happy to share any info. I live relatively locally, although 'my' branch of the Lamb family came into the Craven area of Yorkshire.

Hi Barbara,
Re: Lamb family - Aughton
Some years ago my parents bought Aughton Barn, which used to belong to the Lamb family. There is a small carving on the door with Thomas Lamb's name & date, from memory it is 17 or 1835 & found a slate with inscription in a 'loop hole' in the cottage next door, wishing the next occupants well, together with a child's shoe & bowl of damson stones. Some relatives of the family still live in the village & some burried in the local churchyard.
Hope this is of interest!
Kind regards
Gilly Taylor
