I am looking for any information on the family of Reuben Malcolm Clark and Doris Hilda Anticknap . This couple were married in Brandon, MAnitoba in 1923. Doris was born in about 1905 in Maryville Sask, parents are given as Marie Higgins and Isaac Anticknap . Reuben was born about 1905 in Owen Sound Ontario, and his parents were Thomas and Sarah.. Do not know where Malcolm and Doris went after their marriage- may have been Sask. Would like to conatct descendents for an Anticknap Reunion.
Any help appreciated .

Hello Janet,
I'm curious about the similarities between your Reuben Malcolm Clark and my Reuben Alfred Clark. In December 1923, a Reuben Clark attempted to cross into the US at Port Huron. He is listed as married, based out of Brandon and his nearest relative was his brother Edward of Owen Sound. I believe that this is my great uncle, who had a brother Edward living in Owen Sound that he was close to.

Your Reuben is married, based out of Brandon, and was from Owen Sound. The difference are the parents and the birthplace.

I'm curious whether these people are the same and some of the facts might be off.

HI Michael,
Great to hear from you.
It would be wonderful if we could make a connection.
We have a copy of the marriage certificate from 1923 between Reuben Malcolm Clark and Doris Hilda Anticknap (Enticknap) Our information says his parents were Thomas and Sarah. Of course that could be wrong....

The border crossing in 1923 states that Reuben is going to Michigan to reside with his father in law, Isaac Anticknap. It further states that he has a brother Edward in Owen Sound.
Reuben was not allowed across the border at this time. And after that we lose track of him. We do know that Doris married someone else in 1928.
So, what do you know about your Reuben?
