Seeking Laura Smith Norman relatives

Surnames: Smith Dagg Norman
Maria Matilda Dagg Smith and Johnston Smith had a daughter Laura who married Ernest Zachariah Norman. Ernest died in 1922 in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. We have no adult pictures of Ernest, who is our grandfather (from a previous marriage). Does anyone in Laura's family have a picture of Ernest with or without Laura? Does anyone know if Laura re-married? Smith is a very difficult name to research.

Thank you for the reply, Kathleen. I had already found all of that. I got that picture of Ernest at age 11 from Bernardos. We were hoping to get one of him as an adult. Perhaps someone in Laura's family has one of their wedding. Would also love to know if Laura and Ernest had any children before he died. None appear in the 1921 census, but he died more than a year later, so it is possible there is a step aunt, uncle, and cousins somewhere. Since 1922 is less than 100 years ago, all the records are still protected under privacy laws, which is why I was looking for relatives that might know more.

Hi, Have you searched for an OBITUARY for Ernest NORMAN - dcd aprox 1921?
May mention names and locations of other family members at the time

Vital Records Birth, Marriage, Death Each Province decides when and if their Registrations become Public Record - Depending on your relationship - you may be able to obtain the Registrations / Long Form Certificate - but there is a fee - which varies from Province to Province

How old was Ernest - and Laura at the time of his death ? -

Thanks again for your reply. Would the death certificate provide info on infant children? Or just the spouse? I have a "circumstances of casualty" form (like a death certificate) from the army, but it only identifies his next of kin (Laura).
Ernest was 33 and Laura 23 at the time of his death, so I think there is a good chance that she re-married, but marriage cert. have a 100 year hold on them.
Thanks again,
Linda
