I do have a copy of this book. The Adam Albert Gowanlock and the Mary Elizabeth Winniefred (Minnie) Thomas family is listed. Their son Gordon Gowanlock and his son John Stanley (Jack) Gowanlock also have histories. Let me know if you would like me to send them to you.

Shearer - Croy
The following is a partial extract from the Glenboro, Manitoba History Book called "Beneath the Long Grass". "Mr. Wm. Shearer was born in 1854 at Edinburgh Scotland. He married Ann Croy. She was born in 1854 at Stronsay Orkney Scotland and they were married in Edinburgh in 1875."
I am currently trying to put together the family of Annie Shearer d/o William Shearer & Ann Croy and I would dearly love to have the complete story from this book.
Ever so grateful for your help.

Thank you for the recommendation! I had my library request it so was able to borrow it temporarily. Found mention of my Ferguson relatives!
